Rachel Ray Vs. Martha Stewart -- hmmm?

So, not only did Martha Stewart throw down the gauntlet, she pretty much put Rachel on call. During an interview with Howard Stern, Martha Stewart said she could out-cook & out-craft Rachael. I don't know about you, but I think Rachel would win, especially when you consider her brand of Rachel ray knives. But let's not jump to conclusions, Martha did go to jail and does know how to make a shank out of rubber bands, tinfoil and a pine cone. You be the judge...

10 or 6 knives?

Check out these Rachel Ray knives. How many kitchen knives are enough? Some would argue that 6 knifes are plenty, then others would say you need a 10 piece knife set to be a legit chef. Any thoughts?

Deep Thoughts...Holidays

I have been doing some research on what to get for the holidays, and every year, its the same thing. Rachel Ray knife this, Rachel Ray knife set that. How many times can I give the 3pc Rachel Ray Knife Set? Luckily, last year Rachael came out with the SOS Charity Knife Set, which they loved.

I think that this year, I'm going to mix it up a little. I am going to get the younger kids in my family a Rachaael Ray Young Cook Set Rachel Ray Froggy. And then for the people I really like, I saw that Rachel Ray is coming out with a Steak Knife Set this holiday season.

I'm so excited. Thanks to Rachael for coming out with the new knife sets, I was getting nervous about what to buy.

"So You Think You Can Cook?!" Hometown Hero

Here's a great story about the texan hometown hero Ben Starr competing against other chefs on Rachael Ray's cooking show "So You Think You Can Cook?!". One question that comes to mind is how does this show differ from that other televised culinary face-off, Top Chef? Well, on Rachael Ray's show the contestants are required to be amateurs, as was Ms. Ray when she got her break. Hmmm, I wonder if they will be using Rachel Ray Knives? What do you think?

How Good is the Furi Gusto-Grip?

What is with these bright orange knife grips? I asked myself this question during my review of the latest Rachael Ray knives. I looked at a few sources and heres what I found out about the legendary Furi Gusto-Grip Knives.

According to www.KitchenKnifePro.com , "The Gusto-Grip line was created specifically to meet Rachael Ray’s recommendations. Rachael wanted a ‘grippier’ handle in her favorite color – ‘orange’. The distinctive orange handled knife is made with a durable synthetic rubber handle that immediately feels comfortable and secure in the hand."

Whats amazing is that they make all sorts of knives with these Gusto-Grips. For example, here is the Rachael Ray 10 piece knife set with large and small knives, all using the Gusto-Grip!

The Knife King Reviews Furi Knife Sharpeners

Furi has released two knife sharpeners that provide basic and advance sharpening properties. The first is the Tech Edge Rachael Ray professional sharpener set. This sharpener system has 3 different components to get those knives extra sharp. As I mentioned in my previous post, a sharp knife is critical to losing weight!

The second knife sharpener is the Rachael Ray OZITECH Diamond Fingers Knife Sharpener. This less expensive system is a perfect gift for any cook. Furi did a great job making this system easy to use and compact

Sharp Knives help you lose weight?

I don't know about you, but its about time I get into shape. I have been eating out way too much lately. So, starting next week, I'm on a serious diet. To get myself mentally prepared, I was reading a magazine to get motivated, and it said that buying a sharp knife is a great way to get back to eating healthy. I guess that makes sense; you will enjoy cutting up all those fruits and veggies. I mean, French fries don't need much cutting...do they?

Anyway, I heard that Rachael Ray knives are some of the sharpest out there. But the question is, which Rachael Ray Furi Knife do I buy? Should I buy the 5" East West Knife, the 7" East West Knife, or the Rachael Ray Knife Set in a bamboo box that includes both? I guess the other option is to get the Share our Strength 3 piece knife set, proceeds go to a good cause.

Oh, so many options out there. I wonder if I buy a knife block set that I'll lose more weight.

Ok, maybe that's wishful thinking. All I know is that no matter which knife set I go with, I'll be buying it at Kitchen Knife Pro.

Rachael Ray Share our Strength Charity Knife Set

Did you know that when you buy a Rachael Ray Knife Set (3pc set Gusto-Grip), part of the proceeds go to the Share our Strength Charity. The Share Our Strength organization is a national nonprofit that inspires and organizes individuals and businesses to share their strengths to help end hunger.

On top of helping out a great cause, these knife sets are incredibly sharp and made to last. They go along great with the Rachael Ray Knife Sharpeners

Some of the best Rachael Ray Knives are sold at the Kitchen Knife Store

Rachael Ray Knives are Sharp!

While surfing the web - I realized there are more important things than knives, but hey I'm the knife King. I love sharp metals, diamond edges or the feel of an ivory handle especially at home in my kitchen. My wife recently purchased a 3 piece bamboo knife set from the Kitchen Knife Store yesterday and brother, let me tell you... you need o buy this set.

At first I thought the orange Gusto-Grip handle would be hard to use, however Furi did a great job manufacturing these knives. So much so, that Rachael Ray was willing to sign her name. Now when slicing a pear or cutting through a thick chicken breast, I'm no longer straining...slicing my fingers in the process. When you get a chance - browse the selection of Rachael Ray Knives over at their store. You won't be disappointed.
